Introducing Chrome Web Store

The Google Chrome Store has several free and paid apps available for users of the Chrome web browser. All you need to get started is your Google user name and password.  The apps are tied to your Google account, which allows for easy access. Some of my favorite apps are Remind 101, Hello Fax, Google Drive, and Photo Peach to name a few. Check out the video below to learn how you can begin to access the power of the Chrome web store.

Remind 101: Free notification web app, send free email or text reminders to subscribers

Hello Fax enables users to send and receive  faxes online.  Users have the option to e-sign documents from a PC.

Google Drive enables users to store all files (photos, presentations, documents, PDF's)  online in the cloud.  Users get up to 15 MB of FREE cloud storage.

Photo Peach  allows users to create a slide show using photos uploaded from Picasa or Flickr. Users can even add music from YouTube to enhance a slide show.  Students can create quick multimedia presentations with captions and music while expressing their creativity.

FAQ #1 - Accessing Google Account

I often get asked, "Do I have to have a Google Chromebook to access my account?" The answer is, "No".  Your Google user name and password can be used via the web to access all the Google Apps and your saved bookmarks.  In order to access your Google Drive, Google Calendar , other apps from your PC, you simply type "www.google.com", in the address box, press "enter". You will see a gray box, identified as "Sign In", click this once. You will then be prompted to enter your district Google user name and password.  It only takes a couple minutes for your bookmarks to sync to your computer. Make sure once you are finished, you log out of your account.   See this quick clip on how to access your Google Account for additional clarification.

Happy Googling.
